Red Alert 2002 is a custom rules and graphics patch for the classic game Red Alert : The Aftermath. (It only works with Aftermath, so don't bother trying to play it on the original Red Alert.)

This is the first time a website has been created where red2002 can actually be downloaded from the Internet, even though the patch was created way back in 1998! So, now you can download and play it any time you want.

INSTRUCTIONS TO PLAY

The Red 2002 patch replaces almost all the buildings and units, so unfortunately this means that the original aftermath EXPAND2.MIX file is also replaced. Butdon't worry, you can just follow these simple instructions to play:

WARNING! YOU WILL NEED AT LEAST A BASIC KNOW LEDGE OF FILE MANAGEMENT TO PROCEED!

1. Locate your REDALERT directory.

2. Rename the file Expand2.MIX file as Expand2.ORIGINAL

3. Unzip the files in red2002.zip to the REDALERT directory. These are:

SC-2002.MIX
EXPAND.MIX
EXPAND2.MIX
RULES.INI
README.TXT
AFTRMATH.INI
MPLAYER.INI

4. Play

INSTRUCTIONS TO GET YOUR REDALERT BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL STATE

1. Delete the files in the above list

2. Rename Expand2.ORIGINAL to Expand2.MIX

Thats it. So simple, anyone could do it.
